In our previous post Jim Carrey's inspiring success story we discovered the problems that Jim and his family faced. What was his life before he was a super star. In this post we will discover more interesting and unknown facts about him and how he covered his journey to be a super star.

Despite of all the hard circumstances that he faced the only thing he knew was that he can make people laugh. He remembered that when his mother was suffering from a disease and depression he always made efforts to make her mother laugh with his funny face or by his crazy moves.

Carrey and his family experienced poverty because of which they have to work as security guard and janitors and this made Carrey really angry. Even though his parent's supported him a lot. Financial crisis  made it difficult for his family to support Carrey's ambitions.

Carrey's impersonations bombed and this gave him doubts about his capabilities as a professional entertainer. After a period of time the financial problems were resolved and they shifted to a new home with more domestic stability. And now Carrey returned to the stage with more confidence then before and with more polished acts. In a very short period he went from open-mic night to paid shows and he built a good reputation.

Soon he was noticed by comedian Rodney Dangerfield, who signed him to open his tour performances. Carrey shifted to Las Vegas. Soon Carrey decided to move to Hollywood where he began to perform at The Comedy Store. He also appeared on the television stand-up show.

While he was struggling he wrote a $10 million check to himself. When asked about the cheque Carrey smiled and said "Yes, I wrote myself a cheque of $10 millions, for acting services rendered, and I gave myself 5 years. And I dated it Thanks Giving 1995. And I put it in my wallet and I kept it deteriorating and deteriorating. And just before 1995 I found out that I was going to make $10 million on Dumb And Dumber.

After doing a strings of movies, his stars shined and his work was noticed when he appeared in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" in 1994. After this he also appeared in "The Mask" and "Dumb And Dumber" in the same year. Dumb And Dumber was a commercial success. He also received his first Golden Globe Award in best actor categories for The Mask.

From that day he never looked back and earned tremendous success and fame. And all he did was that he always believed in himself. He believed that it will happen and one day he will have it. He never thought that he can't do this, rather he always visualized that he will have that fame.

Jim said "I would visualize having directors interested in me and people that I respected saying that I like your work. And I would visualize things coming to me that I want. And I had nothing at that time and it just made me feel better. Visualization works if you work hard. That's the thing. You can't just visualize and go eat a sandwich."

What we learn from his visualizing theory is that Visualize that you have what you want. People are interested in your work, they like your work. We should believe that we will have it in future. And you get it when you believe. You get it when you believe you have it. And along with believing in your self, work hard to make you dreams come true. You can get nothing without moving in the direction and working towards it.

When you believe and visualize your success, it becomes much easier for you to achieve it. So visualize, let it go and work in the direction of achieving it.
