Jim Carrey : “Life opens up opportunities to you, and you either take them or you stay afraid of taking them.”

"You become what you believe to become, you become what you deserve to become. There is nothing that you can't do, can't be or can't achieve. All you need to do is Believe in yourself." This is what we learn from the life of James Eugene Carry or you can say "Jim Carrey".

Jim Carrey is a world famous actor, comedian, screenwriter, painter and producer. He is known for his energetic performance, exceptional facial expressions, great comic timing and a great stand-up comedy and acting. But who thought that the person who makes everyone laugh with his punches and comic timing has a dark past.

It was never easy for him. Carrey's life was never the same and it took a lot of hard work, effort and struggle to be "Jim Carrey". Even though he struggled a lot but both his story and life is very inspiring. Carrey faced so many difficulties to be where he is.

At the age of 10 Jim was an undiagnosed dyslexic child. In his school life he was a very quite child who had no friends. Yet he try to make his classmates laugh, but his teachers used to think that he was disturbing the class. Jim mentioned this that "My report card always said, Jim finishes first and then disrupts the other students." Instead of getting depressed because of his learning disabilities he worked hard to built a memory to remember things rather than learning it in a usual way.

Carrey and his family suffered poverty. His father lost his job, and at the age of 12 he use to work 8 hours a day in a factory after school to support his family. Remembering this Carrey said "If my career in show business hadn't planned out I would probably be working today in Hamilton, Ontario, at the Dofasco steel mills". Not only this to help earn his family Carrey and his family worked together as Security Guard and Janitors. He lived with his family in a Camper Van parked in Campgrounds for full eight months.

Despite of the hard life Carry's father always supported him. He used to help young struggling carry to put together a stage act, driving him to Toronto to debut at comedy club yuk yuk's. Carrey said that he had learned a lot of great lessons of life from his father and the least of them is that "You can fail at what you don't want so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love."

Jim's life is a lot more to be learned from. Now imagine his life - he war poor, spent his childhood to help his family to earn a living, had learning disabilities and struggled a lot. But he never gave up. Jim Carrey's life is a proof that if you believe in yourself and you abilities nothing can stop you. All you need to do is "Believe that you will become what you want to".
