We fail at something and give up because it is somewhere in our mind that "I failed means I lost". When we fail at something, we assume that it is impossible to succeed in that task. And hence we decide to give up instead of trying again and again. We are conditioned to believe that we will never be able to succeed in that work ever and it is somewhere in our mind. Read the following story to understand better....

"Once a Scientist was experimenting with a shark. In this experiment he kept a shark in a huge fish tank with few small fishes. Shark took a round of the tank and within a few minutes shark ate all the fish in the tank. The second time the scientist divided the fish tank with a glass partition and and put the shark on one side and few more small fishes on the other side of the tank. Now the shark tried to attack the fishes but he was not able to reach them because of the glass partition. He tried to attack for few hours and got tired and finally gave up after trying for few more hours. Scientist continued this experiment for few more days. Everyday the shark tried to attack the fishes, but he couldn't succeed and at last the shark use to give up. The scientist noticed that each day the shark was getting less violent. So the scientist removed the glass partition, and guess what happened, the shark didn't attacked the fishes. The reason being that the shark assumed that there is a glass wall and he can never succeed in what he want."

We all act like the shark. We try for time, days, weeks, months and a year. We fail and don't get the results and believe that "I can never do this". We accept that this is the end and without giving it another try we give up. It is said that "When your time comes no one can stop you from being where you want to be". Without waiting for the right time we decide to quit.

"I lost" is something that is in our mind. We are the one who let our mind believe that there is a huge wall that stops us to be on the other side of the wall which is called "Success". Instead of letting your mind presume that you can't do this tell yourself that "Today I learned a new lesson from my failure and that is to never give up".

Moral of the story is very clear that don't let your failure hold you back from achieving what you want, always believe that every thing is possible and your success is inevitable. Failure is something to be learned from and not something that holds you back from achieving what you want. If you failed for the first time, doesn't mean it will never going to happen. Achieving success is hard, but not impossible.
